Important: A valid TAX ID (RFC) is required for all shipments to Mexico. Even if you provide your RFC during checkout, DHL may still contact you to verify it for customs clearance. Please respond promptly to any request from DHL. Failure to do so may result in delays, the return of your shipment, and no refund or reshipment.
✅ A valid TAX ID (RFC) is required for all orders shipped to Mexico.
Due to strengthened Mexican customs regulations, all recipients must provide a valid TAX ID (RFC) and complete the required customs registration to ensure successful delivery.
To avoid delays, please make sure of the following:
- You have a valid and correct TAX ID (RFC)
- Your name, email address, and phone number match the information registered with Mexican customs
📦 How does the customs process work?
- DHL will contact the recipient to request TAX ID verification
- Even if you have already provided your TAX ID to Lewkin, local DHL may still contact you to confirm it again
- An automatic notification will be sent to the email and phone number listed on the shipping label
- You must submit your TAX ID within 32 hours of receiving the request
⚠️ What happens if I don’t provide my TAX ID?
- Your shipment may be delayed or placed on hold
- If DHL is unable to reach you or the registration fails for more than 5 days, the package will be automatically returned
- Refunds or reshipments are not available in such cases
