CHANGES TO EU CUSTOMS POLICY (EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026)Updated 11 days ago

Important updates regarding the European Union (EU) import customs regulations and duty criteria effective July 1, 2026. Please review the details below if you are placing an order for delivery to an EU country.

Q. Has the customs policy for EU orders changed?

Yes, it has. Due to updates in the European Union (EU) import regulations effective July 1, 2026, new customs duty standards will apply to all orders shipped to EU member states.

Q. What exactly has changed?

Previously, orders valued under €150 (EUR) were exempt from customs duties. This duty exemption has now been abolished. Regardless of the total order value, a customs duty of €3 (EUR) will be charged per product category (HS Code) included in your order.

Q. What is an HS Code?

An HS Code (Harmonized System Code) is an internationally standardized numerical method of classifying traded products for customs clearance. Duties are calculated based on the number of unique HS Codes (product types) in your order, rather than the total number of individual items.

💡 Example for Better Understanding

  • If your order contains both skincare products and makeup products, they fall under two different HS Codes.

    • Therefore, your order contains 2 HS Codes, and a total customs duty of €6 (EUR) will apply.

  • The HS Code for each item is automatically classified by our system based on the product type. You do not need to check or select this manually.

Q. When do I pay the customs duty?

The customs duty is automatically calculated and displayed on the checkout page along with your item total. It will be paid upfront at the time of your order, allowing you to review the amount before completing your purchase.

Q. Will I have to pay additional duties upon delivery?

No, you will not. LEWKIN operates on a prepaid duty system where customs fees are collected at the time of checkout for your convenience. Once your order payment is complete, you will not need to pay any additional customs duties or clearance fees upon delivery.

Q. When does this policy take effect?

This policy applies to all orders undergoing customs clearance on or after July 1, 2026 (Local Time).

Q. Which countries are affected by this policy?

This applies to orders shipped to the following 21 EU member states:

RegionApplicable Countries
EU Countries (21)Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden

Q. Where can I check the total customs duty for my order?

You can review the exact amount on the checkout page before finalizing your purchase. The duty is automatically calculated and included in your final total, so you can shop with confidence without worrying about unexpected fees later.
